Research Support

Graduate students in the Department of Educational Psychology have access to a research consulting services unit housed in the Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation (CRAME). There is no charge for this service. Consultation is available in the areas of measurement and evaluation, research design, statistical analyses on microcomputers, and program evaluation.Within the Faculty there are three large microcomputer labs, one of which is designated for use by graduate students. The Faculty also has a Division of Technology in Education that supports research through technical assistance as well as through assistance in the production of different types of educational and research materials. The University of Alberta and school systems in the greater Edmonton area operate a Cooperative Activities Program. This is an administrative network designed to coordinate, control, and facilitate university initiated research projects that seek involvement of personnel and/or facilities of the school systems. As a result, the university has excellent access for field-based research in its immediate vicinity.
